Skyland
Project Brief:
Create a generic AI based platform for theme parks.

     App must include:
- Log-in process /  creating a user profile
- Group Profile - Include visiting time, group type, details and team member's preferences.
- Park navigation

     Main Modules:
- Navigation
- Auto-pilot mode
- Rides checklist
- Update group details
- In-app notifications
Skyland is more than a digital park map.
It's a platform that uses AI technology to provide users the journey of a lifetime, and makes the park a much better place for visitors and staff alike.

Design Process:
I started with gathering and mapping key experiences from forums and social media. I learned about groups that visit global theme parks, collecting stories of better and worse experiences, looking for repeating patterns.
One of the most dominant user personas is a highly engaged supervisor with a group of family members (simply described "Cool Dad").

this graph shows the engagement levels before, during and after a regular park visit (ranging from highly motivated to not interested).
Onboarding should be a quick and easy process, so I conducted usability tests to see how close I was to my desired goal:
This one user was absolutely confused. he said it was from this looking "like the real thing" but not allowing all the actions he wished it would make.

I later watched these videos dozens of times and decided to:

- Simplify the app structure, remove unnecessary elements and scenarios.
- Reduce the amount and intensity of visual or interactive components in each screen.
- re-shape the screens to look more alike (and improve the UI - Scale everything up, add headings to menus, reduce font variations)
This project was done as an assignment to the UXV certification program, Jul 2019.
